Elana “Miss B” Bailey is
qualified in health and skin care therapy, beauty therapy, aesthetics and
cosmetology, including holistic therapies, with 4 international qualifications.
She practices as a skin care consultant, makeup artist and a freelance
therapist. Of the 33 subjects she completed, she was not top of her class in 15
of them, due to the fact that she may have taken extensive study breaks to work
on her deportment and appearance marks, to bring up her overall average… by
almost 1%. Her coolest achievement has been “Spelling Bee Champion” in her
final year at primary school, winning a coveted P.S. caramilk chocolate. Today,
as a retired Spelling Bee Champion, she often refers to Google when unsure, but
still holds her Oxford Dictionary near and dear.
Elana’s love
affair with beauty began when she used her mother’s red Estée Lauder lipstick, at
about age 6, to “trace” everyone’s lips in all her mom’s magazines,
cover-to-cover, leaving all with an Angelina Jolie pout. She called it art and
took it to art class. She later took to the walls of her grandparents’ home
with the same lipstick and an eyeliner pencil. She started giving her friends
makeovers at the tender age of 8, and cut a fringe for her then best friend
that was incredibly straight. Note: ‘then’.
When Elana is not dishing out
beauty advice, blogging, vlogging, making beauty product wish lists and being a
sunscreen activist, she likes to read, dance, pretend she’s a rapper, eat (a
lot), search online for cheap stationery and washi tape and hang out with her 3
kiddies: Mila, William and Mackenzie. A Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever and
Irish Wolfhound. You may also find her huffing and puffing at dog shows, showing
her gorgeous IWH. If you get too close at these events she will lick your face
and steal your food. The dog might too, they have that in common. She’s not too
bad in the kitchen (Elana, not the dog), and can make a killer cup of tea and/or
coffee. She also makes a kickass sandwich, mean bolognese and chocolate brownies
that will have you wanting more than you should…unless you’re allergic to nuts.
Elana has recently concluded her adventure as a RUBYROYAL,
essentially an ambassador for rubybox. She believes it was meant to be since
her blood is red, her birthstone is the ruby and she has a thing for boxes.
The reviews are my own. I love trying new products and these are simply my opinions and experiences regarding the products I purchase. Sponsored posts will be indicated as such, but know that I'll only work with sponsors if I like/love/believe in the product and/or brand. I do not accept remuneration in return for positive reviews. Products that are sent/given/gifted to me, will be specified. If you'd like to send me products or information about products, you may contact me via email.
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that every product that I try and have a great experience using will work the same for you. I make recommendations based on the product information provided, my knowledge of ingredients and my experience having used the product. You should do your own research, as well as check out other reviews before purchasing a product. You could also try a sample of the product you're looking to purchase before purchasing the full-size, where possible. On the flip-side, if I have a not-so-great experience using a product, it may not work the same for you. If you've tried and love a product that wasn't nice to me, I'd love to hear about it.
Should you have any queries about skin and body care or makeup, feel free to email me. If you have a comment or question relating to a blog post I've done, you may simply comment on the blog post.
Thanks for reading. :-)
